
Improving health and wellbeing in the Medicine Division
In the 2018 Staff Survey, 23% of 566 respondents agreed with the statement ‘BSUH takes positive action on their health and wellbeing.’ For the HIV/GUM teams, the result was only 15%. Get a move-on for Fitness Day
Thousands of events are planned across the country for National Fitness Day on Wednesday 25 September, encouraging the nation to celebrate the fun of fitness and physical activity.

A Date With Denin
It’s that time of year when we’re asked to hang up our suits and uniforms - when it’s possible - and pull on our jeans. Jeans for Genes day is here - You can choose any day in the week 16 to 20 September.
The aim is raise money and increase awareness to improve the lives of people affected by genetic disorders. It’s estimated there are around 30,000 babies and children newly diagnosed each year, and more than half a million children and adults living with a genetic disorder


Growing Wellbeing
A free taster session on how nature and gardening can help our health and wellbeing is being held at Preston Park on Wednesday 18 September from 1 to 3.30pm. There’ll also be a light meal using food grown in the garden.The event is being supported by Brighton and Hove Mind, Wellbeing in the City, and the Food Partnership.
