Stop for a month, Quit for good

Stop smoking for a month and you’re five times more likely to quit for good, according to research from the Stoptober campaign. To date, the campaign has encouraged over a million people to try to give up, supporting their efforts with medication, e-cigarettes, an app, daily emails, a Stoptober Facebook community and through local stop smoking services. Studies show that people who use stop smoking aids and get face-to-face support are up to four times more likely to quit successfully. And if this isn’t enough of a spur to give it a try, the campaign offers three reasons to quit: You’ll be healthier, you’ll save money and you’ll protect your family.
